About the role#
The Data Science Intern supports data-driven decision making by conducting research, analyzing complex datasets, and developing statistical and machine learning models. You will help identify trends, improve operations, and solve business challenges. This role provides exposure to data science methodologies, predictive modeling, and the practical application of analytics to business strategy.
What you'll do#
- Perform research, analysis, and modeling on organizational data.
- Conduct studies using descriptive and supervised machine learning methods.
- Develop and apply algorithms to key business metrics to improve operations.
- Assist with forecasting, optimization, and data mining initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to business leadership.
- Build technical knowledge to support research and analytic responsibilities.
- Partner with business leaders to apply analytics to business strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics.
- At least one semester remaining upon the start of the internship.
- Minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, including evaluating outputs for accuracy, bias, and compliance.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection.

- Location: Fort Worth, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (11 weeks, May 26 to August 6).
- Modality: Hybrid (2 days a week in office).
- Employment: Full-time and paid.
