About the role#
Nationwide Children's Hospital is hiring an IS Data Center Intern to assist with programs and projects that support our strategic initiatives. This is a paid, part-time position based on-site in Columbus, Ohio. The schedule is 20 hours per week, typically Monday through Thursday from 7am to 12pm, though specific days and times are flexible.
What you'll do#
- Gather and analyze data, run pre-defined queries, and format reports.
- Build presentation materials to support projects and share data findings.
- Attend weekly group development sessions and participate in intern events.
- Apply strategic, system-level thinking and operational excellence techniques to solve problems.
- Perform clerical office coordination and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with your manager and provide recommendations to improve department operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in high school or an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate program.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work within teams and maintain professional composure.
- Sound judgment and the ability to apply logical, critical thought processes to develop solutions.
- A positive presence when interacting with staff, vendors, consultants, and physicians.
- Preferred: Previous work experience in the medical field.
