About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship starting in May 2027. You will work on-site at our Garden City facility, gaining practical experience in manufacturing operations. The role includes a stipend in addition to hourly pay.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily manufacturing operations.
- Participate in production activities to build practical skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and fix production problems.
- Identify inefficiencies and suggest process improvements to support continuous improvement.
- Document and analyze data regarding quality metrics, efficiency, and performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to learn about manufacturing technologies and leadership.
- Shadow management roles across departments like Quality, Maintenance, and Human Resources.
- Work with safety, quality, and production teams on specific concerns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Business, or a manufacturing-related field.
- Academic coursework in manufacturing processes or operations management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of management and hourly associates.
- Physical ability to access all plant areas and lift 50lbs.
- Ability to adapt to manufacturing operations.
