About the role#
As a Field Engineer Intern with PCL in Colorado, you will support the delivery of infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on experience by collaborating with field staff, project managers, and trade partners.
What you'll do#
- Assist Field and Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents.
- Conduct safety and quality audits.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Log submittals, process RFIs, and prepare reports.
- Assist with surveying and project layout.
- Maintain and update field drawings, equipment, and records.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
- Manage material deliveries and documentation.
- Attend project meetings.
- Prepare memos, letters, meeting minutes, contracts, and other documentation.
- Assist with estimating and soliciting information and pricing from subcontractors or suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a construction-related degree, such as construction management, engineering, or technology.
- A desire to pursue a career in the construction industry.
- Available to work full time from May to August 2027.
- Willingness to temporarily relocate to project locations.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- At least 18 years of age.
- A valid Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a substance abuse test.
