About the role#
We are looking for a Manufacturing Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Clinton, Indiana. You will gain hands-on experience in production, quality control, process improvement, and safety protocols while working alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day manufacturing operations.
- Participate in production activities to gain practical experience.
- Work with safety, quality, and production teams on operational concerns or opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies.
- Document and analyze data regarding quality metrics, performance, and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to build leadership and technical skills.
- Shadow various management roles in departments such as Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Environmental & Safety, or Human Resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- A strong academic background with coursework in manufacturing processes or operations management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and hourly associates.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Physical ability to access all plant areas and lift 50lbs.
- Ability to adapt to manufacturing operations.
