About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations. The program runs during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily manufacturing operations while learning from experienced professionals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting process enhancements.
- Document and analyze production data, quality metrics, and performance indicators.
- Participate in safety, quality, and production initiatives.
- Shadow management across various departments including Maintenance, Engineering, Human Resources, and Quality.
- Attend training sessions to develop leadership skills and knowledge of manufacturing technologies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program in Engineering, Business, or a manufacturing-related field.
- Strong academic background in operations management or manufacturing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and access all plant areas.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
