About the role#
We are hiring a Manufacturing Intern for our Summer 2027 program. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Gibsonton, Florida. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical knowledge of production, quality control, and process improvement within a manufacturing facility.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily manufacturing operations and participate in production activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
- Work with safety, quality, and production teams on operational concerns or new opportunities.
- Identify inefficiencies and suggest process enhancements to support continuous improvement.
- Document and analyze data related to quality metrics, performance, and efficiency.
- Attend training sessions and workshops focused on manufacturing technologies and leadership skills.
- Shadow management across various departments to learn problem-solving methods.
- Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Business, or a manufacturing-related field.
- Strong academic background in operations management or manufacturing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and hourly associates.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail.
- Physical ability to access all plant areas and lift 50lbs.
