About the role#
This is a temporary, part-time Radiology Extern position within the float pool. You will assist technologists and other healthcare staff to provide quality patient care. You act as a communication link between nursing and various departments, ensuring patient needs are met during transit and throughout their stay.
What you'll do#
- Clean and set up imaging rooms and equipment.
- Organize work assignments and maintain the supplies room.
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures to patients.
- Assist with patient transfers to and from beds and wheelchairs.
- Position patients accurately on equipment for exams.
- Monitor patient comfort and communicate care needs to nursing or specialty areas during transport.
- Follow regulatory requirements and maintain ethical conduct.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Radiology program.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
