About the role#
NASCAR Speedpark Smoky Mountains is looking for a Human Resources Intern to provide administrative and operational support to our HR department. This role offers hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations within a family entertainment environment. You will work on-site in Sevierville, Tennessee, on a full-time, rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the full hiring cycle, including reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and preparing materials for management.
- Manage onboarding tasks such as processing paperwork, conducting background checks, and setting up orientation sessions.
- Create and maintain organized employee files and HR documentation while ensuring strict confidentiality.
- Support our international student program by assisting with arrival processes and documentation.
- Help team members with daily needs, including uniform distribution, nametags, and general inquiries.
- Maintain the organization of the HR office and conference spaces.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology.
- Prior experience in an administrative, office, or customer service role.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Clear communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with guests and staff.

- Schedule: Full-time with availability for day, night, and weekend shifts.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Additional benefits include a sign-on bonus, referral bonuses, a free meal per 6-hour shift, free parking, and employee discounts. Housing assistance is available through our partnership with the Southern Hospitality Internship Program.
