About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in operations leadership and guest experience management. You will work within the Tracks and Rides Department to support daily operations, team coordination, and safety standards. This role is designed for students interested in hospitality, management, or tourism who want to develop their leadership and decision-making skills in an outdoor setting.
What you'll do#
- Monitor track and ride areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
- Support the daily preparation of team members by communicating operational updates and promotions.
- Assist with training new team members on safety procedures, ride operations, and guest service.
- Provide input on staffing needs and scheduling coordination.
- Help ensure all rides and tracks maintain required supplies and inspection documentation.
- Communicate with the maintenance team when ride or track downtime occurs.
- Support front-line operations during high-volume periods or inclement weather to maintain service efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Hospitality, Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Operations Management, Communications, or a related field.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with team members and leadership.
- Willingness to learn operational procedures and systems.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship located in Sevierville, Tennessee.
- The role operates on a rolling term basis.
- You must be able to stand for long periods, work in varying weather conditions, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
