About the role#
This is an 11-week paid internship program based in Hartford, Connecticut for the summer of 2027. You will join the Actuarial team at Munich Re to gain practical experience in product pricing and insurance operations. The role is full-time and follows a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Perform meaningful work within the actuarial department.
- Gain hands-on experience with pricing a variety of products.
- Collaborate with other interns on a Team Capstone Project.
- Interact with various functions across the organization.
- Meet with the Senior Leadership Team to gain career insights.
- Participate in community outreach and networking events.
- Receive career advice and guidance for your professional development.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least your Sophomore year of college.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5.
- A major in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Finance.
- Completion of at least one actuarial exam is preferred.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Availability to work full-time for the duration of the 11-week program.
