About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to apply your technical and academic training within the reinsurance industry. You will work as a member of the North American Integrated Analytics team, receiving coaching from industry professionals and support from mentors. The role is designed to help you build a foundation for a career in the field.
What you'll do#
- Support technical implementation with clients by gathering and validating requirements.
- Promote client satisfaction by providing insights and solving reported problems.
- Document client feedback to share with sales and leadership teams.
- Support the product lifecycle by collaborating with risk specialists and data scientists to plan, develop, and implement new features.
- Assist with testing new features to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate across different Munich Re functions to understand business needs.
- Network with related groups within the company.
What you'll need#
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to explain complex ideas and facilitate communication between clients and internal teams.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, and SQL.
- Experience with software engineering best practices.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Resourceful nature and the ability to learn quickly.
- Previous exposure to the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with at least 3 days per week required in the office.
- Employment Type: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $44 to $54 per hour.
