About the role#
This summer internship program offers students the chance to work on real projects across multiple data and analytics teams. You will contribute to business objectives, connect with senior leaders, and develop professional skills within the insurance industry. Interns are expected to work full-time for the duration of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Collect, process, and analyze datasets to identify trends and insights.
- Design interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Meet with cross-functional partners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support data validation and testing to ensure accuracy.
- Evaluate opportunities to incorporate AI and automation into quality processes.
- Analyze quality data, risk, and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in calibration sessions and document recommendations.
- Develop and present findings to management at the end of the internship.
- Organize information about AI tools and models while maintaining AI inventory.
- Research responsible AI, insurance applications, and relevant regulations.
- Support third-party AI reviews and monitor predictive model health.
- Develop ground-truth datasets for generative AI testing and compare results.
- Automate quarterly modeling tasks and create exposure import tables.
- Run quarterly reporting data and supplemental wildfire scores.
- Research and refine risk accumulation methods.
- Support monthly geocoding and quarterly DEFCON analysis.
- Assist with migrating documentation and code to Databricks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- Rising Junior or Senior status at the time of the internship.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, throughout the summer.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to team projects.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

- Location: Amelia, Ohio.
- Modality: Hybrid, requiring approximately 40 to 50% of time in the office.
- Transportation: Candidates must have reliable transportation to commute to the office.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
