About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of accounting, data analytics, and technology. You will help transform manual financial processes into scalable, accurate, and control-focused automated solutions. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Automate accounting and finance processes using Python and related technologies.
- Analyze and reconcile data from financial systems, reports, and general ledger sources.
- Develop and test scripts that validate, transform, and standardize financial data.
- Support automated reporting, financial analytics, and operational dashboards.
- Evaluate AI and automation solutions for finance operations.
- Document requirements, process flows, controls, testing results, and improvement opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Rising Junior or Senior status at the time of the internship.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to meaningful projects.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without requiring employer sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Amelia, Ohio.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with approximately 40-50% of the time spent in the office.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the summer program.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to commute to the office is required.
