About the role#
This is a full-time accounting internship for the summer of 2027. You will work 40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity, based out of either our Columbus, Ohio or Charleston, West Virginia office. This role provides exposure to various accounting and finance teams, including financial reporting, investments, and tax. You will gain experience in a corporate accounting department while assisting with key team tasks and projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting tasks.
- Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and report generation.
- Handle accounts payable functions and assist with tax or compliance activities.
- Support the department with cross-functional project initiatives.
- Participate in company-wide intern program activities.
- Provide backup support for employees during vacation periods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours before the internship starts.
- Completion of basic accounting coursework.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, and advanced formulas.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
