About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship for Summer 2027. You will work within the Infrastructure and Operations Department, gaining exposure to areas like UNIX and storage administration, network and server administration, and VoIP administration. You will also assist with IT asset management, project management, and service desk operations. This role requires at least 40 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Respond to incoming user phone calls and walk-up requests.
- Provide first-level support for technology hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot issues to resolution or escalate them following defined procedures.
- Triage incoming incidents and route them to the correct support team.
- Document user interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Follow up with support teams on the status of open incidents.
- Contact IT users to gather information, confirm resolutions, or ensure service delivery.
- Coach users on installing and using company hardware and software.
- Research technical issues and collaborate with co-workers to find solutions.
- Recommend improvements to service desk operations and standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours.
- Preference is given to students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS).

- Modality: Hybrid schedule with days in office each week.
- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
