About the role#
Encova Insurance is seeking an intern for the Commercial Lines department in Columbus, Ohio. This is a full-time summer internship for 2027. You will work at least 40 hours per week, with specific start and end dates determined by business needs. This role reports to the Assistant Vice President of Quality Assurance and Projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform research and tasks to support underwriting and the underwriting office.
- Handle routine transactional activities for non-complex risks and established accounts.
- Assist with the issuance, assembly, and support of insurance policies.
- Field routine service requests and research project inquiries.
- Ensure all project work and account servicing is accurate and completed on time.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 60 credit hours completed.
- Preference for students pursuing degrees in Business Administration or Finance.
- Proficiency in Excel and general computer skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with internal and external customers.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work as a team member.
- Responsiveness to customer needs.

- Modality: This is an in-office role with the potential for some hybrid scheduling.
- Compensation: $18.00 per hour.
