About the role#
Mortenson Development, Inc. is hiring a Development Intern to work with our regional offices on acquisition and development projects. You will work alongside our development, legal, and executive teams to gain insight into the real estate industry. This role involves complex financial modeling, valuations, and capital raising efforts.
What you'll do#
- Provide underwriting and evaluation support for property types including medical office, multifamily, hotel, industrial, and land.
- Prepare information memoranda and materials for potential investors and lenders.
- Research existing and potential markets to identify trends and demographics that impact real estate strategies.
- Support the due diligence process from pre-development through project completion.
- Develop and implement financial models to support credit analysis.
- Conduct analytical work to support financing strategies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of construction and business practices.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to show initiative and leadership.
- Detail-oriented and organized approach to handling multiple priorities.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).

- Compensation: Paid position starting at $18 per hour.
