About the role#
Mortenson is seeking a Social Media Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position based in Minnesota. You will work with the Digital Team to translate company goals into social media content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
What you'll do#
- Brainstorm content ideas for social media platforms.
- Capture content on job sites and at company headquarters.
- Write captions and help organize the content calendar.
- Collaborate with team members to curate diverse perspectives.
- Implement content for campaigns, including images, gifs, and motion graphics.
- Manage community engagement by answering questions and providing feedback in message inboxes.
- Learn about paid and organic media planning.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of construction and business practices.
- Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong copywriting skills and knowledge of current social media trends.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members.
