About the role#
Mortenson is seeking a Graphic Design Intern for the summer of 2027. This position sits within the Sales and Marketing Team. You will work on various digital platforms, including social media, email templates, and web content. You will also support print projects like flyers and signage. This role involves collaborating with marketing specialists and the Brand Team to turn project needs into visual designs.
What you'll do#
- Create graphics and layouts for digital and print platforms.
- Build on existing social media templates to grow the company asset library.
- Collaborate with the Brand Team to develop and execute design concepts.
- Produce images, gifs, and motion graphics.
- Research and implement design trends and techniques.
- Maintain brand consistency across all channels.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for Graphic Design or a related field.
- Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch.
- Knowledge of design principles, aesthetics, and digital standards.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A positive attitude and interest in growing your design skills.
- Previous internship experience or junior standing is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Minnesota.
- The program runs from May to August 2027.
- This position is on-site.
- Hourly wages start at $18, with potential for higher pay based on year in school.
