About the role#
Milliken & Company is hiring a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering intern for the Dewey Plant. This is a hands-on, full-time summer position. You will work on manufacturing projects, troubleshoot technical challenges, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste. You will report to a dedicated management sponsor who provides mentorship throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Analyze problems and implement solutions using critical thinking and focused improvement methods.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the factors and conditions that impact our processes and products.
- Prepare diagrams, charts, and tables to support your findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and department leaders to achieve project goals.
- Participate in the plant Safety Process and Program.
What you'll need#
- You must be a rising Junior or Senior working toward a BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
- You must be available for full-time work from late May until early August.
