About the role#
Trane Technologies is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Co-op to join our team. You will support our mission to create sustainable and efficient climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation. This is a full-time, paid position that offers a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Lead or assist with component part validation testing in Thermo King labs and at external facilities.
- Document and prioritize customer requirements to support application engineering.
- Apply technical knowledge to solve design problems and assess product suitability for various applications.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet goals for performance, reliability, cost, and schedule.
- Manage engineering documentation, including 3D models using Autodesk Inventor, bills of materials, drawings, and specifications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or BA in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify the root causes of complex operational issues.
- Ability to evaluate options and make informed decisions.
- A proactive approach to learning new skills and adapting to changing business needs.
- Experience working effectively with others to coordinate project efforts.
- Willingness to relocate anywhere in the United States.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: This role is hybrid. You will work on-site Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to choose your work location on Fridays.
- Compensation: $27.54 per hour.
