About the role#
Trane Technologies offers a 12-week summer internship for students interested in Construction Project Management. This full-time, paid position provides hands-on experience working alongside project managers to execute projects within specific time frames and resource constraints. You will gain exposure to building efficiency and sustainability solutions while developing your technical, business, and communication skills.
What you'll do#
- Plan and coordinate assigned projects by establishing schedules and project parameters.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to assist with programming and material selection.
- Monitor forecasted costs and manage expenses to establish and maintain an operations budget.
- Prepare sub-contractor requests for quotations, including scope statements and milestone schedules.
- Communicate with contractors, owners, and team members regarding project scope, performance, and budgets.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, specifically in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of study before the start of the internship.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
- A valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, plus the ability to provide proof of insurance and meet driving record standards.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
