About the role#
Milliken & Company is hiring a Process Engineering Co-op for its encapsulation plant in Portage, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, paid position for students currently enrolled in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering programs. You will work 40-50 hours per week, which may include occasional late days, nights, or weekends to support the 24-hour plant operations. The role includes a housing stipend and paid company holidays.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the day-to-day operations of the encapsulation plant.
- Contribute to project work, daily tasks, production meetings, and production-scale trials.
- Prepare written summary reports and presentations based on your work.
- Collaborate with project leaders and receive guidance from an assigned mentor.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior standing in a B.S. or M.S. program for Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum 3.00 GPA.
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
- Skill in applying engineering and scientific principles to solve problems.
- Capability to work safely around manufacturing equipment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers, management, and production staff.
- Comfort working in a flexible manufacturing environment.
