About the role#
As a Hardware Systems Engineering intern, you will join a team focused on developing consumer hardware. You will spend your time on hands-on hardware tasks, lab work, and CAD design. This role covers building, testing, and analysis as the team works toward product launches.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design and product validation.
- Build test setups and investigate new methods to control our systems.
- Work alongside firmware and product designers to troubleshoot issues and improve system performance.
- Create prototypes and run tests to help move designs toward mass production.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably Nx.
- Experience with various rapid prototyping methods.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with simulation tools like FEA and thermal analysis.
- Experience with statistical analysis methods and design for high volume manufacturing (DFM/DFA).

- This position is based on-site in San Bruno, California.
- The role is full-time.
