    About the role#

    As a Product Design Engineering intern, you will work with a cross-functional team on a novel consumer product. This role involves hands-on work with hardware components and lab equipment. You will contribute to design, tooling, and testing as we push toward launch.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with the team on the design and validation of new products.
    • Develop prototypes and run tests to move designs toward mass production maturity.
    • Support 3D CAD design and 2D documentation.
    • Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing quality issues.

    What you'll need#

    • BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (in progress or completed).
    • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for electro-mechanical systems.
    • Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably NX.
    • Experience with a variety of rapid prototyping methods.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Experience with simulation tools like FEA and thermal analysis.
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis methods and design for high volume manufacturing (DFM/DFA).

    • This is a full-time, paid internship.
