    About the role#

    As a Product Design Engineering intern, you will join our team to work on consumer hardware. You will spend your time using CAD design tools and working directly with lab equipment and hardware components. This role involves design, tooling, and testing tasks as we move products toward launch.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with the cross-functional team on product design and validation.
    • Build prototypes and run tests to help move designs toward mass production.
    • Assist with 3D CAD design and 2D documentation.
    • Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing quality issues.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in or completion of a BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for electro-mechanical systems.
    • Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably NX.
    • Experience with various rapid prototyping methods.
    • Strong communication and analytical skills.
    • Experience with simulation tools like FEA or thermal analysis and statistical methods.
    • Familiarity with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA).

    • Location: San Bruno, California.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Compensation: $35 to $45 per hour.
    • Status: Full-time, paid internship.
