About the role#
As a Maintenance & Reliability Intern, you will work directly with our maintenance department to monitor equipment health and improve operational efficiency. You will spend your summer in Eaton, Ohio, gaining experience with industrial systems and data management. This is a full-time, on-site position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze equipment failures to find root causes.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including tracking data.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to boost equipment reliability.
- Keep data accurate within the MaintainX CMMS system.
- Inspect machinery and participate in condition monitoring.
- Review and update maintenance work instructions and equipment records.
- Analyze downtime data to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
- Work on a project focused on improving the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) rate.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D drawing software like AutoCAD or Inventor.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with 5S, lean six sigma, or lean manufacturing principles is helpful.
