About the role#
The Solidification Maintenance Engineering Intern will join the team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Canton, Ohio. You will gain practical experience by working with cross-functional teams on maintenance projects and process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to reduce or eliminate swarf accumulation.
- Develop detailed job plans to support critical projects scheduled for the 2027 shutdowns.
- Author step-by-step job plans and document technical processes within the LOGIC system to ensure standardization.
- Design and implement a new, structured tagging system for the IBA monitoring system to replace generic naming conventions.
- Partner with the Process Control Engineering team to learn tagging processes, best practices, and gain access to PLC/IBA tags.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with AutoCAD or Inventor.
