About the role#
As a Steelmaking Maintenance Engineering Intern, you will work on-site in Canton, Ohio, during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside the maintenance team to improve asset reliability and inventory management.
What you'll do#
- Learn to navigate CMMS and drawing systems to support inventory management and asset reliability.
- Develop a process for a Reliability Challenge project, similar to existing ESB standards.
- Create a user-friendly tool for subject matter experts to identify risks and improvement opportunities before downtime occurs.
- Ensure the project captures both potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Incorporate enhancements to LOTOTO plans for specific assets.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Basic experience reading mechanical or electrical prints.
