About the role#
Metallus Inc. is seeking a Steelmaking Maintenance Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site internship provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work on projects designed to improve asset reliability and maintenance processes.
What you'll do#
- Learn to navigate CMMS and drawing systems to support inventory management and asset reliability.
- Develop a process for a primary project focused on a Reliability Challenge.
- Create a user-friendly tool for subject matter experts to identify risks and improvement opportunities before downtime occurs.
- Ensure the project effectively captures both downtime risks and potential improvements.
- Incorporate enhancements to LOTOTO plans for specific assets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic experience in reading mechanical or electrical prints.
