About the role#
Metallus Inc. is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position provides hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment. Interns are paired with a mentor from the existing engineering staff to provide oversight and guidance throughout the duration of the program.
What you'll do#
Interns will lead or assist on a variety of projects, including:
- Revising design drawings.
- Conducting conceptual design and scoping of work.
- Creating bid documents and preparing bid reviews or comparisons.
- Performing field work, such as equipment inspections, data gathering, and oversight for equipment installation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Inventor.
