About the role#
This Nurse Extern position in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) offers a practical way to gain clinical experience. You will work on-site in Little River, South Carolina, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a part-time, paid role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily patient care tasks such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and grooming.
- Obtain patient vitals.
- Transport patients as needed.
- Conduct hourly rounds to check on patient well-being.
- Help maintain a secure and comforting environment for patients and their visitors.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of a Nursing Fundamentals course.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Enrollment in a nursing program.
