About the role#
This undergraduate internship provides relevant field experience in clinical exercise physiology within a cardiac setting. You will work under the guidance of assigned mentors who provide instruction and assess your performance throughout the program. This is a temporary, full-time, on-site position based in Rochester, Minnesota, scheduled for Winter 2027.
What you'll do#
- Observe the functions and processes of your assigned cardiac work unit.
- Complete all internship-related assignments and reports required by both Mayo Clinic and your educational institution.
- Execute selected work assignments designed to reinforce your learning and contribute to the work unit.
- Undergo a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in Exercise Science, Physiology, Health and Wellness Promotion, Kinesiology, Public Health, Health Administration, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Completion of most coursework required by your degree program.
- A self-motivated and creative approach to your work.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
