About the role#
The Graduate Degree Intern in the Mutter Lab provides students with relevant field experience in their chosen area of study. You will work under the guidance of assigned mentors who provide instruction and assess your performance throughout the term. This position focuses on observing unit functions and completing specific work assignments to reinforce your learning and contribute to the team.
What you'll do#
- Observe the daily functions and processes of the assigned work unit.
- Receive instruction and guidance from mentors to support your professional development.
- Complete internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo Clinic and your educational institution.
- Execute selected work assignments to assess performance levels and provide benefit to the lab.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a master’s or other graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Active registration for coursework in the current or upcoming academic term.
- Proof of enrollment in classes, which will be verified prior to your start date.
- Enrollment in a degree program that requires an internship as a graduation requirement or offers it as a credit option.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Academic background in Biology, Psychology, Health Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or Communications.
