About the role#
The Facilities Intern for Plumbing provides students with relevant field experience within a healthcare environment. You will work under the guidance of assigned mentors who provide instruction and assess your performance throughout the internship. This role focuses on observing daily functions and contributing to work unit processes to reinforce your academic learning.
What you'll do#
- Observe the functions and processes of the assigned plumbing work unit.
- Complete all internship-related assignments and reports for Mayo Clinic and your educational institution.
- Provide instruction and guidance as assigned by your mentors.
- Undertake selected work assignments to reinforce your learning experience and assess performance levels.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or Nursing.
- Active registration for coursework in the current or academic term, with proof of enrollment required.
- Completion of most courses required by your degree program prior to the start of the internship.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
