About the role#
The Facilities Intern for Plumbing provides students with field experience in their chosen area of study. Interns work under the guidance of assigned mentors who provide instruction and assess performance throughout the program. This position requires the completion of internship-related reports and assignments for both the organization and the participant's educational institution. Placement does not include financial assistance for relocation, housing, or transportation. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check.
What you'll do#
- Observe the daily functions and processes of the assigned work unit.
- Complete all required internship assignments and reports.
- Receive instruction and guidance from assigned mentors.
- Perform selected work assignments to reinforce learning and assess performance levels.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or Nursing.
- Active registration for coursework in the current or academic term with proof of enrollment provided prior to the start date.
- Completion of most coursework required by the degree program prior to the internship.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
