About the role#
This is a part-time, on-site role for a college student worker at a pediatric clinic. You will perform a mix of administrative scheduling and clinical medical assistant functions. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider and help implement health care services.
What you'll do#
- Perform appointment scheduling and manage patient records.
- Input patient and guarantor demographic and financial information.
- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and answer questions.
- Perform vital signs and other screenings, including height, weight, allergy, and medication history.
- Ensure all required forms and paperwork are accurate and complete.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboarding.
- Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and information retrieval.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and staff.
