About the role#
As a Student Radiology Tech II at UVA Health, you support physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You will work in a clinical setting to help prepare patients and operate imaging equipment. This is a paid, part-time position based in Culpeper, Virginia. The schedule is PRN and varies based on needs.
What you'll do#
- Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Prepare patients for their imaging appointments.
- Operate x-ray equipment to capture diagnostic images.
- Maintain sterile fields and equipment.
- Perform equipment warm-up and quality control checks.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of at least two semesters in an accredited Radiography Program.
- Current enrollment in the second year of a Radiography Program.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to travel between campus buildings and remote facilities as needed.
