About the role#
This position is for a pharmacy student to join our retail pharmacy team in St. Charles. You will work on-site to support our pharmacy operations, focusing on medication preparation, inventory management, and patient-centered service. This is a part-time, paid role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare IV admixtures and other extemporaneous compounds using aseptic techniques.
- Stock and fill medication orders accurately.
- Enter patient data and medication information into the computer system.
- Complete assigned projects and tasks.
- Adapt your communication style to fit the needs of different patients while maintaining their privacy.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and ensure the department remains in compliance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in good standing at an accredited College of Pharmacy or status as a graduate who has passed the NABP Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination.
- A current Pharmacy Intern Permit from the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.
- Experience working with standard pharmacy and office equipment.
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboarding skills.
- Dexterity and computer skills necessary for data entry and patient information retrieval.

- Location: Destrehan, Louisiana.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This role requires the ability to move objects weighing between 20 and 50 pounds occasionally.
