Pharmacy Student - Retail Pharmacy - Certified Immunizer - St. Charles - Part Time

About the role#

This is a part-time Pharmacy Student role based in Destrehan, Louisiana. The position involves working within a retail pharmacy setting to support medication preparation, inventory management, and patient care standards. This role requires on-site attendance.

What you'll do#

• Prepare IV admixtures and other extemporaneous compounds using aseptic techniques.
• Stock and fill medication orders and maintain inventory in assigned areas.
• Enter patient information and ADR data into pharmacy computer systems.
• Adapt communication and service style to meet the specific needs of the patient population, ensuring privacy and respect.
• Ensure all work complies with current federal, state, and local laws, as well as accreditation and regulatory standards.
• Complete assigned projects and tasks as required.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in good standing at an accredited College of Pharmacy, or status as a graduate who has successfully passed the NABP Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination.
• Current Pharmacy Intern Permit from the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.
• Experience working with standard pharmacy and office equipment.
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications, keyboarding, and data entry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally and the ability to stoop, bend, and reach.
