About the role#
This co-op internship offers students the chance to work within the Pet Nutrition packaging team. You will support R&D initiatives and contribute to real-world projects that impact our consumer brands. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Franklin, Tennessee, during the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Lead and execute packaging innovation projects under the guidance of packaging associates.
- Perform packaging sustainability assignments to help meet company goals.
- Develop detailed packaging specifications.
- Initiate, coordinate, and execute line trials at co-manufacturers to confirm quality and performance metrics.
- Coordinate the creation of high-quality prototypes to gauge consumer desirability and support team collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably in Data Science or Chemical Engineering.
- A passion for engineering and the consumer products industry.
- An agile, curious, and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to provide your own personal transportation to and from the work site.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
