About the role#
This internship program provides hands-on support for the technical aspects of our business. You will work alongside full-time employees to support our gas and electric systems. Assignments may include work in electric distribution design, gas metering and regulation, and pipeline engineering. This is a paid, full-time position that requires on-site work.
What you'll do#
- Review, edit, develop, and manage documents and drawings for gas and electric systems.
- Assist with technical projects, including design support, engineering drawings, inspections, and system planning.
- Consult with supervisors, operators, and engineers to discuss problems and provide technical expertise.
- Use computer-assisted engineering, design, and drafting software to prepare project documents.
- Monitor progress at operating and construction sites to ensure work aligns with design documentation.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a 2-year associate’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree in a science or technical field.
- Completion of at least 48 scientific or technical semester credit hours.
- A minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Majors accepted include Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, and Chemical Engineering.

- This role is located in Michigan.
- This position is on-site at an assigned headquarters.
- We are currently collecting resumes for terms including Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Summer 2027.
