About the role#
This internship provides students with hands-on experience in utility forestry. You will work on projects that support our energy infrastructure while developing your professional skills. This is a paid, full-time position based in Michigan. We offer a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Inspect and plan tree work for various projects.
- Audit tree work once it is completed.
- Collect, analyze, and input data.
- Assist with tree inventories, vegetation management plans, and tree removal assessments.
- Support utility forestry field activities, including potential storm-related events.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Natural Resources, Forestry, Environmental Science, Conservation, or Arboriculture.
- A minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- Hands-on experience with MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- This position is located in Michigan.
- The role is on-site. You must be within a commutable distance of your assigned headquarters.
- This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
