About the role#
This is a paid internship and co-op program designed to provide hands-on experience in the utility industry. You will work within our Supply Chain teams to support Material Services and Logistics. This role is full-time and requires on-site attendance in Michigan. We are recruiting for terms starting in Summer, Fall, and Winter 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with procurement tasks, including data cleansing, deep dives, and metrics creation.
- Support material contract bidding, negotiations, and award processes.
- Manage your own workload by setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Track information, maintain logs, and update spreadsheets.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and responses to inquiries.
- Evaluate processes to suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with team members on program development and planning.
- Follow all safety rules and maintain an organized workspace.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor degree program for Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to think critically.
- A self-starting attitude.
