About the role#
This is a paid internship opportunity for students to join our Digital Products & Technology team. You will work alongside senior designers, product managers, and developers to build digital solutions. This role is open to students interested in a summer 2027 term or part-time opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and user needs.
- Conduct user research through surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
- Translate research findings into wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
- Use Figma to create intuitive user interfaces and visual assets like icons and illustrations.
- Maintain design systems and UI pattern libraries.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and workshops.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results.
- Document design decisions and specifications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in UX Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.7.
- A portfolio that shows your understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Familiarity with user research and usability testing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team or independently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

- Location: Jackson, Michigan.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
- Candidates must be within a commutable distance or willing to find local accommodations.
