About the role#
This Associate Accountant position involves daily financial analysis and processing of business documents. You will report to an Operations or Corporate Accounting Supervisor. This role is a full-time position based in Texas City, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Participate in monthly closeout activities.
- Identify, analyze, verify, interpret, and process financial and operating transactions.
- Maintain records, accounts, and ledgers for various company activities.
- Prepare financial statement journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Develop financial and operational variance analysis for management.
- Review tasks to recommend process improvements or automation opportunities.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, specifically with pivot tables and formulas.
- General knowledge of accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team setting and meet deadlines.
