About the role#
Stephens is hiring an Accounting Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position in Little Rock, Arkansas, provides hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance. You will work with our Corporate Accounting team on various projects, gaining exposure to the systems and processes used in investment banking.
What you'll do#
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Help with month-end and quarter-end closing processes.
- Analyze financial statements and variance reports.
- Manage investment-related data, such as portfolio valuations and fund accounting.
- Research accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry practices.
- Complete ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
- A solid grasp of financial statements, GAAP, and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
