About the role#
As a Winter Audit Intern in St. Louis, you will support our audit team by performing financial audits and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) control reviews. You will work under the supervision of an Audit Senior to ensure business unit financial statements and controls align with GAAP and corporate policies. This internship runs from late May through mid-August and serves as a pipeline for full-time Staff Auditor positions.
What you'll do#
- Perform audits using a risk-based, process-focused approach that incorporates business strategy analysis.
- Report control deficiencies to management and provide recommendations to mitigate risk.
- Challenge existing processes across the company to identify opportunities for refinement.
- Communicate with various stakeholders across the organization.
- Travel within the United States, and potentially internationally, for approximately 15-25% of the role.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Please note that sponsorship is not provided for this role.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer term.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to think objectively under pressure.
