About the role#
Emerson is hiring for an Engineering Management Co-Op in Marshalltown, Iowa. This role is designed for students interested in the engineering management track. You will work within a global engineering organization focused on embedded industrial control products. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Lead a small, well-scoped engineering project or a sub-workstream within a larger program.
- Coordinate across Mechanical, Electrical, and Firmware disciplines.
- Support project execution by planning, breaking down tasks, tracking schedules, and reporting status.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Drive team alignment by facilitating stand-ups and small team reviews.
- Track action items and follow-ups.
- Apply structured processes including requirements, traceability, and quality practices.
- Present project updates and outcomes to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another technical field.
- Strong academic performance in engineering fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
