About the role#
Emerson is looking for a finance intern to join our global Professional Tools finance team. You will work closely with the Director of FP&A and the broader finance team to assist with financial analysis, long-term planning, and performance reporting. This role is designed to help drive data-based decision making across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Prepare monthly reporting, including P&L statements, variance analysis, and various dashboards.
- Assist with long-term financial planning and the Profit Plan by gathering inputs, validating assumptions, and updating financial models.
- Support cross-departmental initiatives such as pricing actions, cost-savings programs, and headcount plans.
- Assist with other projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in finance or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a clear passion for finance.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Finance or Accounting.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Previous co-op or internship experience.
