About the role#
Emerson is seeking an iCenter Co-op to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week rotation running from June 2027 through December 2027. You will gain experience in automation software and manufacturing processes while supporting projects that help our customers improve safety and efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Support project technical analysis and manufacturing activities to ensure efficient project execution.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams on questions regarding constructability, manufacturability, and assembly.
- Assist with project execution by preparing technical submittals and responding to customer inquiries.
- Develop Bills of Material (BOMs) within the MRP system using engineering drawings and documentation.
- Create and maintain kits and subassemblies for standard product lines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Provide support to project and production managers on manufacturing and project-related tasks.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and facilitate communication between engineering, manufacturing, and project teams.
- Contribute to cross-functional problem solving throughout the project lifecycle.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in an engineering, technical, or business discipline.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour per week co-op from June 2027 to December 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Technical curiosity and an eagerness to understand how products, systems, and processes work.
- Previous co-op or intern experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, such as serving in a leadership role within a student organization.
- Previous coursework involving automation, PLC, process controls, or simulation.
