About the role#
WhiteWater is hiring an Accounting Intern for Summer 2027. This position is based in our downtown Austin office. You will work alongside our accounting team to support daily operations, month end processes, and special projects. At the end of the term, you will present your findings and experience to management.
What you'll do#
- Enter accounting data into the ERP system.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and organize accounting files.
- Help the accounting team improve workflow efficiency and internal controls.
- Assist the operations department with revenue contract interpretation and revenue recognition.
- Evaluate the accounting of term easements for leases.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Finance or Accounting degree program.
- Completed at least four semesters of college or university coursework.
- Minimum of 9 hours of accounting coursework completed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven success working in team environments on group projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

- Location: Austin, Texas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Availability: 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Status: Paid internship.
- Note: You must provide your own housing for this position.
